LAKE GEORGE -- Cosmo S. Finocchio, 44, a resident of Lake George, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Glens Falls Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1970, in Queens, the son of John and Helene Finocchio of Lake George.
Cosmo was a resident of the Lake George area since 1982, and was a graduate of Lake George High School, Class of 1989.
He was a member of Pipefitters Union No. 669 and was known to be a very skilled craftsman. He also did various security system installations throughout Lake George.
Cosmo had a passion for remodeling homes, could brighten anyone’s day and was a compassionate and caring person to everyone with whom he came into contact. He loved his black Challenger, but the greatest thing in his life was his daughter, Bianca. She was the love of his life and he cherished spending time with her.
Survivors besides his parents include his daughter, Bianca Mary Finocchio of Rocky Point, NY; his fiancee and her daughter, Jenny Thompson and Sarah of Queensbury; his sister, Catherine (Bruce) Mandolare of Lake George; and two brothers, John (Sandra) Finocchio of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Michael (Sue) Finocchio of Winter Springs, FL. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Meghan Finocchio, Lily Gabriel Mandolare, Nickolas, Michael and Brandon Finocchio; and a host of various relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 50 Mohican St., Lake George.
Private burial was held for the family.
